As a company trm is expert in purchasing raw materials of quality at competitive prices. Converting it into ‘corrugated’ may not seem to be the most charismatic of concepts in the world, but doing it right demands dedication. Quality from the beginning is a must. Not only has demand for TRM’s innovative products seen it nearly double its number of employees over the last decade, its expertise in retail ready packaging, supply chain consultancy and design has boosted its turnover from £13m in 2001 to £34m today. TRM has pumped £12m into its Burscough site over the last 10 years, with the final part of its three-phase investment plan now underway. A further £4m will be injected by early 2012 with the installation of a new £1.5m BHS AF-P single Facer in November and its third Martin 618 Casemaker in February. At a cost of £2.5m this investment also makes TRM the only plant in Europe with three such machines. With board quality significantly improved, the use of the very latest paper technology and, crucially, an increase of 20% in capacity from the end of 2011, the demands of TRM’s burgeoning list of customers are well and truly met.
