TRM Impress

Our industry leading high quality print brand, TRM Impress, is the culmination of £6 million investment into our printing and finishing technologies.

With TRM Impress we can offer our customers print to die cut quality that has, to date, only been achievable on solid board cartons.

Consumers increasingly associate high quality printing, finishes and packaging with the brand and quality of the product. Nearly 80% of all purchasing decisions are made in-store meaning visually prominent packaging is a must.

Working with designers and brands we can create corrugated retail ready packs with visually striking design and a finished quality that ensures products stand out at point of sale, convey brand image and values and ultimately drive sales.

Our seven-colour Gopfert Impression high quality post printer is the first stage in the TRM Impress process. Capable of producing litho challenging print quality with short lead times, the Gopfert delivers a registration accuracy of 0.2mm between colours and industry leading print quality.

Packs are then cut using our state of the art flat-bed BOBST Mastercut die-cutter which offers the latest generation camera controlled technology to achieve market leading print to die-cut registration accuracy of less than 1mm. This is a significant jump when compared to the traditional 3mm registration which prevented graphics and solid colours butting up on corrugated retail ready pack corners.

The process has already proved to be a huge success as TRM was awarded the most prestigious accolade for print quality in the packaging industry in 2015. We were awarded the prizes for best in class for ‘Corrugated Post-Print: Coated Line and Screen’ and ultimate prize, ‘Best in Show’, at the 2015 European Flexographic Industry Association’s (EFIA) print awards.

The annual awards, run by the EFIA trade association, are the most highly sought after for the packaging industry and a showcase for the finest printing services the sector has to offer.
