new martin machine arrives at trm

To trm Packaging, customers’ needs are paramount. Working as partners with their existing and potential customers means their exacting requirements are met. Constantly striving to further improve upon already impressive production figures, trm recognise the necessity of continual investment. The recent purchase of a Martin 618 4-colour Casemaker, an investment of £1.2m highlights this dedication.

This "state-of-the-art" machine with many important and unique features such as in-line die cutting capabilities is seen here being officially “launched” by Gail Anderson (Group Purchasing Manager - Packaging) of Grampian Country Food Group, who are one of trm’s largest clients. Installing a powerful piece of equipment such as the Martin 618 ensures that the specially designed shelf ready packs for a number of Grampian’s sites can be even more efficiently produced. Commenting on this investment, Gail Anderson said, “Due to the very high standards our customer base requires, we are delighted that trm have made this significant investment. This new equipment will provide the flexibility we need to meet our different retail customers’ requirements.”

This latest customer-led investment is all part of trm’s unfailing commitment to providing creative and innovative retail ready solutions , securing their leading position in the industry.

trm and Grampian have been working on several significant projects during the summer, the seeds of which have now come into fruition, resulting in massive production for major retail accounts including Tesco and Asda. In general terms, too, this recent acquisition has meant improved efficiency in the warehouse and vast savings in distribution costs not only for Grampian Country Food Group, but all trm’s diverse customer base, which, in turn, helps them to deliver a more cost-effective service to their retail customers.
