MAY 2008 trm appoints new Finance Director New to the team at trm Packaging is David Plant who was appointed recently as their Finance Director. Prior to joining trm, David worked in the packaging industry for Excelsior Technologies Ltd in North Wales. Manufacturers of flexible packaging, mostly related to the food industry, the company was a similar outfit to the Lancashire-based trm. Having been involved in Management Consultancy and Interim Management roles throughout his career, David was also Finance Director of several SME’s, so brings a wealth of experience to his directorship at trm. Since his arrival at trm, David has found the company to be both creative in terms of packaging ideas yet necessarily strict on production control: “I have been very impressed with the professionalism throughout trm, particularly the innovation the design team brings and the stringent control of production processes. It is not often you find such wide ranging skills in a company of this size.” Originally from York, David moved to the northwest in the mid seventies and now lives in Northwich, Cheshire, with his wife. Among his interests are general outdoor pursuits such as walking and biking and his 5 grandchildren ensure he is kept fit in other ways!
