From his role as Transport Manager in 2007 where, amongst other things, he developed new systems to increase visibility in customers’ orders, Richard made the natural progression to Commercial Manager. Responsible for the daily management of the customer service team plus the warehousing and logistics department, Richard is heavily involved with managing customer priorities and plant capacity in conjunction with Works Manager, Paul Bridge. Richard has recently added a new dimension to his wide portfolio; that of the design department. Already a hugely successful department, Richard will be able to further integrate and manage customer requirements here and ensure all criteria are met through effective procedures and closer control. This new role serves to further increase the links between sales, design and planning through to manufacture and delivery. Richard points out that: “TRM is constantly developing systems to meet customer demand and ensure the market place is satisfied.” Out of working hours Richard – who obtained a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Venice, no less – enjoys clay pigeon shooting, reading and art and loves foreign travel; especially the Caribbean, the US and, of course, Italy.
